Dave Melton, Principal, Sacred Power Corporation, a Laguna Tribal member and principal of Sacred Power, is an experienced program/contract manager with over fifteen (15) year's experience working with high-tech industry. 
Mr. Melton received his B.A. in Economics from the University of New Mexico in 1986 and has over 30 hours of graduate study from UNM's School of Public Administration.
Mr. Melton is the elected chairman of the Laguna Colony of Albuquerque for 2001-2002, a Tribal communication support group for Laguna's in the metropolitan area. Mr. Melton has also been appointed to the Pueblo of Laguna Utility Authority Board representing his home village of Paguate. Mr. Melton was also elected vice-chair of the newly created Rebuild Central New Mexico, the local energy efficiency support organization sponsored by U.S. Department of Energy.
Mr. Melton was awarded the first Annual American Indian Entrepreneurial Leadership Award from the UNM Anderson School of Management's American Indian Business Association in May 2001.
In addition, Mr. Melton is a member of the NM Solar Industry Association, the NM Solar Energy Association, the Interagency Advanced Power Group, and Leadership Albuquerque Alumni Association. |
Odes Armijo-Caster, Principal, Sacred Power Corporation, a Premier Solar Electrical/Mechanical Contractor for the past 20 years, responsible for the design, installation and repair of hundreds of Solar Systems. 
Solar electricity for remote home sites, telecommunication sites, lighting projects, and solar water pumping systems as well as solar systems designed for domestic hot water and space heating are but a few of his many successful projects.
In addition, Odes Armijo-Caster is a Certified Solar Energy Instructor for Siemens Solar Corporation; he has provided presentations, workshops and seminars on solar energy systems in many countries throughout the world.
Mr. Armijo-Caster has helped develop renewable energy curricula for Native American Institutes of higher education such as the Crownpoint Institute of Technology (CIT) and the Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute (SIPI). He is also a long time member of the NM Solar Energy Industry Association, the NM Solar Energy Association, and American Indian Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Armijo-Caster is currently working on implementing a program to establish Redundant Remote Power Systems for law enforcement locations across the United States.
Odes and his family have lived in a totally solar powered home for the past 8 years. |
